The original Survival Tin Lamp (STL) was a R&D project to build a compact, lightweight and simple modular light source for a small survival/escape & evasion kit that can be carried on the person, powered on/off when required and provide constant light source for 72 hours+.

On the 19th July 2022 at 2100hrs the STL reached 2,400 hours! – 100 Days…

The Survival Tin Lamp A-O provides a carry system for the STL for attaching to MOLLE/PALS, Velcro patches or making a finger-loop with the hook and loop strap.

Sent for evaluation the escape tool loadout has been carefully selected for a new SERE product by Soteira Systems Ltd. The tools will be contained inside a custom made LEECH X-RAY.

Three Inches has been updated and now includes the LEECH X-RAY for access, carry and concealment options. The AHK3-rf has been installed with a stainless steel split-ring and relocated to the T200 Micro Friction Saw.

I know from research and development this version of ‘Survival Tin Lamp’ will run for 100+ days and it also works underwater. Shown here inside the mini version of the LEECH X-RAY.
